Lost Childhood Object: Susie Homemaker's oven

Planning sketch

The oven is made out of a cardboard base that's painted aqua. I created a lightbulb using fairy lights, film, and tin foil. I used hot glue to give the colored film its spherical structure.

My final piece is an artistic representation of Ms. Watkins Susie Homemaker's oven. I wanted to include her notable descriptions of the oven's aqua color, light bulb, painted stove top, colorful dials, and mini cake box. The oven door opens and closes shut because the real one locks for four hours while cooking by a lightbulb!
